Designing Harris Tweed

One of the most exciting stages of Harris Tweed production is designing the pattern and bringing the colours together to produce the desired effect.

With a wide ranging knowledge of patterns and designs brought about through his years of experience and training, this is one of the stages that John enjoys most and is able to produce a wide variety of Harris Tweed patterns.

Some of the age old classic patterns remain among the most popular today – for example the classic Herringbone. However the more modern colours and patterns are also highly sought after by an increasingly diverse Harris Tweed clientele.
