Island colours are reflected in Garynahine Harris Tweed

Welcome to Garynahine Harris Tweed

Located in the village of Garynahine, Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, local weaver/designer John R MacLean produces double width Harris Tweed of the highest quality. Recognised as one of the world’s finest fabrics, John undertakes the production of this wonderful tweed by hand – from the warping stage right through to the actual weaving.

The only fabric in the world whose production is protected by an Act of Parliament, Harris Tweed is historic, iconic and highly fashionable, not to mention hard wearing! Reflective in colour of it’s native islands, both the classic and more modern patterns are available either for purchase or order from Garynahine Harris Tweed.

Located one mile from the world famous Callanish Standing Stones and near the beautifully scenic district of Uig and Bernera, this part of Lewis is visited and enjoyed by many.
